The Korean makes(not made... at these lower price range) machiam not so lasting leh... after seeing others mentioning in HWZ about the quality issues immediately after warranty expires.

Maybe is some kind of accidental knock during delivery causing the screen defect? During setup time he and delivery men nvr observe?

This part I am not sure. But when he called Sony to raise the issue and send the video to them, Sony technical guy said is like that one, all edge lit panel is like that.

My friend face sianz 1/2 and talking tone also sianz 1/2 when he tested it by switching off the light at night..

My friend just got the 65x8500G model..Regretted due to the screen in middle can see like greyish white shadow..Decided to upgrade to 9500G

So... issit that the bigger it goes, the more obvious such "defect" is more visible?
My 49incher Panasonic edge-lit don't hv such issues leh...

If you can afford it, FALD is the way to go... edge-lit is typically less uniform and bright..

Philips oredi hv 70incher goes under $2k. If Sharp still continues to hold on their $3+++ pricing, their stock is going to be stagnant in stores and be beaten by Panasonic!
