Looks like 75 inches is taking over from the 65 incher. This is evident when a big player like Samsung is running adverts extolling the larger display size as standard. Hope this brings prices down to the 65 inch level. Looking forward to snagging a 77 inch OLED at the $8k price point soon 🤣.

Having paid "only" $3.4k for my 65 inch Panny OLED, I suppose I won't be averse to upgrading to 75-77 inches should prices come down. However, if I had paid $8K for my OLED, I would want it to last a longer.

Just FYI only....
OLED TV warranty from 2018 will not cover OLED display panel. Prior to that LG's 3-years warranty for OLEDs was 100% coverage. Learnt this from LG technician who serviced my OLED power on/off board which was faulty during the 2nd year of warranty.

So... LG is now taking the "SHARP Business" approach... 1st yr full, 2nd & 3rd yr covers workmanship and other parts?

It's worrisome when a company decides not to back up their tech..

Just sent an email to LG Singapore to seek their confirmation regarding the 3 years warranty entitlements. Will update here upon clarifications from LG.

Good to get official condormation
Hope I am wrong though
LG tech said oled bought before 2017 fully covered
After 2018, warranty exclude display panel

Probably for burn ins only?...i vaguely remember the salesman saying LG will replace the screen if there is burn in during warranty period though the caveat was normal home viewing. That was in 2017. Lol

(2018) Sony x7500 55inches for $1299 considered good offer?

I’m not really particular with tv, just want to replace 46 inches 2011 sony, and make it slightly bigger.

Haha how do they check this?

Look at the number of hours used. Divide by number of days.
Sir, you watched more than X hours a day. That is not normal home viewing?
Lol
