For me, a TV with vertical lines on the display is dead. I will throw it away if it is out of warranty.
My 55in FHD Panasonic is also dying after all these years. That's why I'm looking into replacing it. Its screen is still going strong but there is something wrong with the motherboard and the TV is behaving like the house is haunted. It would switch itself on after being switched off and would change channels on its own for no reason, scaring the family members.
The Panasonic Fair is at Best Denki. The branch where I viewed the TVs is at Great World City.

Thanks...will go and take a look. :)

Yes, i got what you mean. mine weird is only green background then will see the lines...:D

oh yah...FZ950 55 inch is selling at $1999 at best denki online now

Best Denki always have weekend specials.
$1999 very good price for OLED 55” TVs.
Actually if you go down to bargain, may be able to get a even cheaper price as they are usually willing to offset $50 to $100 more with their own instore vouchers to seal the deal. But you must ask for more discount.

Last night @ BestDenki CitySq. I saw that they're clearing the 55FX800 @ $1400.
U should be able to get the 65FX700 at 2 blue bills more or... close to the 55inch FX800 price.

2 weeks ago, I got my 55 inch FZ950S from Best Denki at Takashimaya for $1,799.

Also remember they were selling 55 inch LG C8 at around $2,300.

Cheers,

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a decent TV for use in a bright living room at 65" for around 2.5k?
I think OLED and QLED are out of my reach price wise, so I'm settling. Any recommendations and where to buy them will be greatly appreciated. Thx

65incher 4k LED... can consider models that are 1yr old, such as from PANASONIC or PHILIPS or probably SONY, depending on how much discounts you can get. SHARP, with ur budget can get only 60incher models, but warranty is partial, as the panel is more expensive than others in the market which mostly using LG.

QLED(is still LED ley, just panel difference nia...) i don't know, probably fellow Sammy fans here can advise you.

The 65-in 4K Panasonic FX700 and Sony X7000 TVs are both less than 2K.
Both Harvey Norman and Best Denki give good prices and are amenable to bargaining for further discounts if you are really keen on buying if the price is right. For Best Denki, it is good to go during the weekends when they regularly have sale promotions.

More 4k LED panel makers out there... more lower the cost.
LG and SAMSUNG are the 2 that we mostly know. There's also SHARP and PHILIPS LG JV.
Then from China, BOE. So... $1499 for a AOC 4k TV, price ok for u? Or U prefer XiaoMi more cheaper, but warranty matters?

Probably the cheapest price in the market...
Mustafa now carries 2 4k models of AOC latest TV. 65incher and 55incher.
65incher goes @ $1299. Seems very highly competitive when compared to what NTUC offers but wait! Mustafa's delivery is chargeable @ $35 island wide. No free bracket installation and antenna. So after u calculate... with PG/PASSION card discount, who's more worthy?
