How was 2 door show? Looking at the pic, great turnout.
And a bonus when the band do the after show meet n greet.

I was sitting in Circle 3 but e moment they band hit e first bar everybody stood up. Really good energy. I love e venue - sonics is good and whatever was sung was heard clearly. Very unlike Indoor Stadium which is always a mess with rock groups. Dudes sang a few new songs which are very good. Thing abt Two Door is that their entire album don't have standout songs. Every song sounds abt e same but yet it's a joy to listen to. These guys get pop rock perfect. I didn't even know there are so many fans and everybody knows e words to e songs!!! Fantastic

Opening band was Cheating Sons, a local band. Pretty good - bought their CD too

Next gig will be Jacky Cheung for me... Don't laugh

PS - actually I have bro AndrewC and all e rest who posted in e New Bands thread to thank for. It is thru that thread I discovered Warpaint, Two Door Cinema Club and many other bands. High five dude!!!

Bro I will probably catch the Impiety gig. Also, Obscura is coming. Brilliant band, and I heard Toxic Holocaust will be in the same gig. Need to check with Zul.

It's been a loooong time since I went for a gig man.
Love your music, not your equipment.

btw its X Simple Minds. found this after a search..

"With the energetic Owen Paul providing superb vocals, Derek Forbes and Brian McGee, the original bass player and drummer with Simple Minds – now touring as X Simple Minds, and two additional musicians, ran through a number of anthemic hits that made them stars – and of course, made us want to mousse our hair and wear eyeliners –all those years ago.

Was an interesting gig at the RWS Colosseum yesterday. Very small crowd, probably just over 200 I'd guess. Lots of 40 & 50 year-olds around, lots of angmo FTs, many with skanky SPGs draped across their ams ;D…. the gf and I had a good laugh.

X-Simple Minds was up first, covering mostly very early tracks from their first 3 albums except for the two biggies, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" and "Alive and Kicking". Overall, I thought the band was pretty good, lead singer Owen (Paul) McGee's a good sport, certainly A+ for effort,… but Jim Kerr's vocals prowess he doesn't have.

China Crisis was brilliant! Gary and Eddie came on in suits (which came off pretty quickly). Their vocals were spot on, even after all these years, albeit the pretty bare arrangements of the songs they covered. I was surprised by 22-year old drummer Sian Monaghan though, she's apparently been touring with the band for a year now but seemed a little wet behind the ear.

How? Errm… you need moves like jagger, get right in-front, like a groupie, and point & click with your camera?! ;D.........  Seriously though, at this gig we were literally only 10 feet from the stage, so it wasn't difficult. Did you mean something else?
