Locally, there is only one official guy selling and that is GP Acoustics at Adelphi Ground Floor.

Further to add, I'm not sure what answer are you seeking on when and where? Do you mean by GSS? As mentioned by Tane, KEF is under sole distribution with head office in HK, ditto SG as well.

Typical discount will be 5-10% off the all range depending on the RRP except LS50 a fixed price, also I'm not familiar with the range you are interested hence I can't comment much.

Tibbits - Unless there is a change in dealership, revision in model, else it is rare to find further haircut on any range of model if that explain sufficiently in your case.

Did some reading up and learned more about the ported design.  How do you define/measure the listening space? My TV is against the 5m wall and the sofa is against the opposite wall.
If in doubt, ask for home trial, you have to pay for it for 2 way transportation.

Kelvin of GP acoustic is gd in setting up speakers. He will do a gd job for u
Second that. Ask Kelvin nicely, he will drop by your place to setup at his best effort accordingly to your space. He setup my Reference 1 personally one month later after speakers are delivered.

I assume you have heard the Ref 3s... where did you have the demo?

The Ref 1s and 5s are in the KEF showroom and I have heard them.  The Ref 5s in particular sound amazing! They are my current reference point (no pun intended) when auditioning speakers.

Honestly you can go down to listen to the R700s and Reference 1 and 5s. If you have 15k to blow its a great pair of speakers. Personally i bought the R700s.

GPA have both Reference 1 & 5 for audition, Reference 3 is never available since it was launched. Always on indent basis, one has to decide by comparing between Reference 1 & 5 - the latter has better bass extension, however it requires more wattage to sing well. That said, the sound signature across the reference series are pretty in-line.

Yes, the sound signature is similar so if you like the sound, it would be the same.

Between the 1 & 5, in addition to the bass extension, I find that the 5 has more details.  The separation of the instruments somehow is better.  Not sure why the extra bass cones helps with that, given the UniQ is the same.

It depends on what kind of details you seek - there is only one Uni-Q. Given fact that Reference 5 has additional 3 bass drivers - 2 on top and 1 below. It does cover a wider space be it horizontally & vertically hence you get more information out of it, less taxing versus 1 bass driver. Do note that Reference 5 has higher sensitivity than Reference 1, it is much easier to drive but it does not imply that it does need requires wattage per se.

In my system, which is skewed towards closer shade of neutrality, it does present details on the high side. Also, Reference 1 do sound very differently when driven loud enough - similar DNA applies to higher models. Try listening to them again at louder decibel for your genre of music and share further how does you feel about it.
