Don’t buy the R300. The technology is 8-10 years old.

The new R series only shares one thing in common. The letter R. The drivers, cabinets, bracing and crossover are derived from the Reference. You just don’t get the fancy baffle from the Reference. And it isn’t made in the UK.

Thanks DH.

My intent was to save some monies by getting used set of the previous model. :)

But good to know that the new R is much more enhanced and closer to the reference

The Ref 3 is 20k here and the Ref 5 goes up to 29k? Depending on finish.
Again I can’t say anything about the pricing in Australia.

But I have been thinking should I go for r11 if budget allows? Any advice is appreciated

We have the Reference 5 here. And it is a real pain to listen to them in anything smaller than our largest room. 4x6m was no go.

Needed at least 4.8x6.5

The R11 is basically a Reference 5 trickled down model.

The listed new(not open box) R700 price is per piece,so 1 pair will put them close to $4k sgd not going to be cheaper than local price after cater in the shipping cost n gst, only problem is whether got stock locally on not.

ya true.

The Q150 pair looks like a good deal though. M100 earphones - not sure what the local price is.
