3. Live Like Horses (w/ Luciano Pavarotti)
4. Your Song (w/ Alessandro Safina)

The European edition of the 3rd disc is said to contain Lucy in the sky with diamonds - but this track is not found in the US pressing. I couldn't find this song in our local edition either.

If you're a fan, it's worth tracking down.

Some notes from Amazon:

This is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three labels, in one collection. It once would've required at least four CDs to own the best stuff here. Many think the legendary performer was at his best in the early to mid-'70s, and the incredible string of singles that ran from 1970's "Your Song" through 1977's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" remains mighty impressive. But in retrospect, as they're presented here, '80s hits like "I'm Still Standing" and "Sad Songs" add much to an already amazing legacy. Three Disney tunes, the lush "The One," and two from Songs from the West Coast, which was hailed as a return to those '70s golden days, represent the later years. Collectively, these tracks reinforce the notion that, despite Michael Jackson's later proclamations, John was once the closest thing post-'60s music had to a genuine king of pop, respected by hipsters and the mainstream alike. --Bill Holdship

No matter how they compile the songs, none of the above versions can truely represent the definitive Elton John's hits compilation.

It seems that the tracklist for the local version is different from the limited press:
CD 1
1. Your Song
2. Tiny Dancer
3. Honky Cat
4. Rocket Man
5. Crocodile Rock
6. Daniel
7. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting
8. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
9. Candle In The Wind
10. Bennie and the Jets
11. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
12. The B i t c h Is Back
13. Philadelphia Freedom
14. Island Girl
16. Don't Go Breaking My Heart
17. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest word

CD2
1. Blue Eyes
2. I'm Still STanding
3. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
4. Sad Songs (Say So Much)
5. Nikita
6. Sacrifice
7. The One
8. Kiss The Bride
9. Can You Feel The Love Tonight
10. Circle of Life
11. Believe
12. Made In England
13. Something About The Way You Look Tonight
14. Written In The Stars
15. I Want Love
16. This Train Don't Stop There Anymore
17. Song For Guy

This CD compilation also missed out some songs from the 1990 compilation "The Very Best of Elton John" like "You Gotta Love Someone", "Pinball Wizard", "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", "Part Time Love", "Passengers", "I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That" and "Easier To Walk Away".

I actually prefer EBTG's acoustic songs.

Updated new releases today (22/11)

Toni Braxton - More Than A Woman (Arista)

Enya - Only Time The Collection (Warner)

Amazon.com
A wonderful gift, this handsomely packaged four-CD box set (purple velvet cover, gold-foil lettering) also serves as an inviting midcareer retrospective of an uncommon vocalist-sonic architect. Only Time: The Collection is a mix-and-match assortment of tracks spanning Enya's first five U.S. releases (including her 1987 debut, The Celts) and embellished with a half-dozen B-sides not found on her previous U.S.-released albums. Chief among them are "May It Be" (from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack); "Isobella," a hushed, slowly evolving beauty formerly available only in Japan; and "Oiche Chiun (Silent Night)." The set's fourth disc is an enhanced CD that includes 1996 video footage of Enya performing "Oiche Chiun" during a BBC special. Also included is a 44-page, tall-format booklet filled with regal artist photos, song lyrics, and commentary on each track written by lyricist Roma Ryan. Some notations are throwaway items. Others are insightful, such as the unfinished lyrics (about lost love) for the instrumental title track to A Day Without Rain. The order is a jumble, usually mixing tracks from two recordings onto one disc. The stylistic difference between her dated 1987 debut and the sophistication of 1988's Watermark makes for some occasionally jarring listening on disc one. On the other hand, the opening sequence on disc three ("After Ventus," "No Holly for Miss Quinn," "The Memory of Trees") is mesmerizing. Overall, nicely done. --Terry Wood
