Already bought the Milano and Palermo last Friday at Takashimaya. Palermo a bit spicy and strong. Yet to try Milano.

Are you one of the old chappies who comes down Thomson Plaza to read free newspaper and have a coffee? Place is always very crowded.

New limited edition here in oz Milano and Palermo pods. Milano a 9 and Palermo an 11 iirc - prefer the Palermo but I have to make do without my fresh beans while down under.

I have a pile of stuff that pushes out squiggly waveforms from smaller squiggly waveforms that sometimes come from 1's and 0's.
It's wonderful to behold as long as you don't let the magic smoke out.

My aeroccino that is part of my nespresso machine is out of order. This is my 2nd one in 5 years and it seems that they don't sell just the tumbler replacement but to buy the entire unit of aeroccino at $168 which seems steep.

Any other alternatives out there pls to get it cheaper?

Thx

Get a few of the milk frothers when you are next in Australia. Aldi, Coles, Woolies all sell their own brands of milk frothers for their own brand of capsule coffee machines but the milk frothers are universal.

Most go for A$25-30. You do need an Aus to UK adaptor but thats easily fixed.

Notice I said: a few.

They all tend to fail after a while.

But here are some options:

a. I got a Breville one. Not cheap but has temperature control which is handy when you are making hot chocolate or other non espresso drinks. Seems to be the most reliable. Induction heater so no heating element inside the pot itself which is easy to clean.

b. be careful cleaning. I got a Caffitaly one almost a year ago and it has lasted the longest. I don't really clean it as thoroughly as I did on my older ones. I just rinse it once or twice with cold water then use a damp cloth to wipe it dry - which is exactly what the manga says to do. In the past, I would get parts of the jug wet and because the heating element is inside the jug, it is easy to damage it.

Thx DH

I managed to trade in my spoilt aerocinno with Nespresso and get a new unit at 50% off. I never knew about this until I brought my spoilt one to the boutique to test it there. Well at 84$ I can swallow that instead of 168$ ;D
