There is no dark side of the moon really.  Matter of fact, it's all dark.

Now that the patent has expired for Nespresso, can expect to see more of other coffee companies using compatible pods.

I stumbled on to a local fair opposite Cathay in Dhoby G.  Was selling lots of food stuff, etc and also this coffee.

Its really nice. I think I like it better than most of the Nespresso flavours. Promotion is $8 for 10 pods.

Pod comparison: its a little stiff to work the mechanism but works otherwise just fine:

We've had nespresso compatible pods for a while now in Australia. I'm not sure if it's related but my nespresso started leaking a month after using it.

Managed to send it back to delonghi for repairs under warranty.

Yes the local MO guy already tested a few brands of compatible capsules but your machine spoil easily. IIRC he said the seal is slightly thicker so it put pressure on the puncture mechanism.

Justin Metcalf lor. I didn't have much cash with me otherwise I would have bought for you bro.

If you wan, I'll buy a set of 4 for you if I'm going down?

Yup, this is from Aus :) UK also have had them but this is my first time seeing it in Sg.

The perforated base of the plastic pod seems a bit harder to pierce compared to the foil of the genuine caps, but the Maestria mechanism is quite robust so I guess it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Just had a couple more shots- smoother and more drinkable with better body than the normal nespresso caps (which I find a little harsh so usually I drink with at least some milk and not so much as an espresso these days).

Was walking in Woolworths and chanced upon their latest offer - a Caffitaly based system for A$50. Since I am spending a lot of my time in the shop these days, decided to grab one for work. There was also an offer for capsules - 3 boxes for A$15. Each box contains 16 capsules and there was a whole range from Lavazza, Gloria Jeans as well as the Woolworth's home brand.

I think I can even get some of the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf capsules when I am next back :)

There's no frother though at this price but it's available as an optional accessory for an extra 29 bucks. I still have the old Caffitaly machine at the shop with a milk wand. The coffee making bit is a bit dodgy but the milk wand seems to work OK so I am using it to froth the milk :)

New limited edition very nice.

The raw sugar is a bit too sweet but coffee is nice. Although intensity is 13 it is not as bitter as Kazaar. So I'll be getting more to replace the Kazaar.  ;D

Yup, mine.
My Citiz stopped working exactly 1 year after I bought it. Same problem, power.
