Hi. Which sub are you using? 😊

I am using ATC 19 v2 driven by the Denon AVC-X8500H. I read that the v2 is easier to drive than the v1. My experience is that the Denon drove it to loud volume with control, speed and finesse when watching movies. In 2 channels musics  it is an easy load for the amp. But I do offload the bass from 80hz below to my sub, and the 150w per channel driven at 2 channels help. I will be replacing the 19 with the 40 and move the 19 as surround duties, when that occurs I might explore adding external amp.

I am trialling the SCM19v2 with my Naim kit. Crazy good sound. Speakers are easy to drive. Barely turn the Volume past 9am position to achieve ear ache levels.

Nice. Which Naim amp you’re using? I’ve gotten the 250 to thermal shutdown before with the 19v1. ;D

I’m using NDX:282:HiCapDR:250.2 with no problems driving the 19 speakers. I’m going to step up to the SCM40v2.

Just take note while 250.2 is more powerful than 250, there isn’t much reserve left when driving the SCM19. However,  they usually sound best just right before thermal shutdown. Haha. I would suggest you try the 250.2 with 40 before committing.

250.2 has DR and non DR depending on the vintage.
