The Official XP Harbeth Thread
« on: February 09, 2010, 17:31 »
I know some will dread it but some will love it, and this thread is for the latter. Harbeth users or to be users, please post here for all discussions on Harbeth speakers.

Some words of advice: Do refrain from brand bashing. As they say, hifi is very subjective and every pair of ears hears differently. If you don't like a particular product, it may just mean that it is not to your taste so there is no need for condemnation. I understand that many of the previous assaults on Harbeths at Echoloft was a result of some users' bad-mouthing of other brand names. Non-Harbeth users, if you are not happy with the comments of any particular users, attack the poster, not the brand  ;D

Maybe they have started to listen to music more rather than reading/writing bullshit in the forum.

thinking about a HLP3-SR + LFD Zero Mk3 for a tight space. Does CD Acoustic carry both brands and are they audition friendly?

ya lor.... Chowbotak thread must support....my Harbeth. ;D

Drive by Quad 22 +  2....I think this set age is older than me... ;D

Foundation Designer 2 Speaker Stand, without it, the LS 3/5A sound loss lot of mid/high's refinement and weight on bass

The combine sound is quite awful actually, lack lots of resolution, impact, speed that modern audio system have, and it bottom up easily ~~ but for music that are less demanding,Eg 60's Ella Fitzgerald , Violin solo or camber music etc, its quite wholesome....
