You mean the catalog number? Or the recording?

Chase The Clouds Away sounds like a live recording.. there's less processing, simpler mike-ing etc and there's more "you are there".

"Feels So Good" sounds like a recording.. the mastering is pretty good but there's more of a "pseudo" stereo effect not unlike the Beatles in Stereo where instruments are artificially redirected to one side vs the other. Not as obvious as in Beatles so not as jarring. IMHO.

You mean you just discover "CHUCK"?, oh nvm!, "Chase the Clouds Away" predates "Feels So Good", and FSG was his last notable work. "Chase" was played for the 1976 Summer Olympics, and theres was a live version.

Those who know "FSG", wil;l note that the LP version, which was also a radio edit in the 1970's, is different from his later verions, the one you hear on radio these days, and the CD release & his current performance. The "FSG" orginal from the 1970's, circa 1977, have an organic feel....that is much more acoustic...

There is a "vocals" version of FSG. I believe it was in the album dedicated to his father.

I was at Memory Lane last week, collecting a repaired amp, not browsing vinyl like you die-hards.

But I was somewhat bemused to see a guy inspecting a copy of Dark Side of the Moon, and he was 'complaining' to his friend that the round sticker with the title was stuck on the wrong side of the LP sleeve...  ;D

This was running on and on and on in my mind...
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²

Wat dat?   ???
There is no dark side of the moon really.  Matter of fact, it's all dark.

kamsia :P

Did you get it too?

ps surprised you got the flattener first ;) have u gotten the cleaner yet?

Anyway.. part of my treasure trove from Zenn.. just played it today :P

I first heard this song on the soundtrack of "The Story of Us", the movie of a couple that takes place after "I do". The soundtrack was by Eric Clapton and for the longest time, I attributed the performer to be Clapton. :)

Rest of the album isn't my usual genre but the guitar playback is pretty impressive.

I've it in first pressed and few others.  ;D LP is so addictive. My collection from 0 to about 1200 LPs now in less than 3 months. Have to clear all my books to make way for them as more to come.

I actually got cleaning machine before the flattener. Mine is the local DIY spin dry version which I find that it work the best for me. This DIY cleaning machine has many method of cleaning and it require some skill to get it right with different solution and brushes. Managed to master it and all my noisy used LPs sound as good as new after cleaning. Love it!

Talking about flattener, I've really bad experience dealing with Musiclink about it even as a regular. Not going to step into this shop for good. Those who're interested in it, you're better off getting from Modular Audio which provide better price as well as service even thought they're just a dealer.
