For those who wonder which to get ,,,Parallels or WMware....

My personel recommedation is VMware Fusion 3.  I also bought Parallels 5 but WMware seems to be more user friendly, IMHO.

Mio Modem and Macs
Hi

Need some help:

Is anyone of our bros using a Mac with the MIO Modem?
I wish to ask -
Can the modem be located away from the Mac?
Its my music server project - can I site my Mac (eyeing the 21.5" Imac) near my stereo, then place the MIO Modem / router near where the phone line is and rely on the wifi to transmit or must there is a physical link?

Thanks.

Also for the Aiport Express, can the USB port output sound to a USB DAC?
Please post instead of sending a pm, so more can learn.

What are the differences between Parallels 5 and WMware Fusion 3 ? Are there shops selling OEM for this two type of softwares ?

I have a pile of stuff that pushes out squiggly waveforms from smaller squiggly waveforms that sometimes come from 1's and 0's.
It's wonderful to behold as long as you don't let the magic smoke out.

Life is short! Enjoy the music while it plays, when it stops, there might be a chair for you...or  maybe not.

A friend from overseas asked me to buy him a MacBook Pro. Would like to know if the price is the same anywhere in Singapore, or are there some shops cheaper than another?

Prices generally don't vary at all. The shops may differ in terms of vouchers given, free gifts, or discounts on AppleCare extended warranty.

Good choice - that's the one I've always gone to. They may not be as slick as the EpiCentres, but the sales people are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Before I got my education discount, I used to go to SGL at SLS level 2 - 63379070 - look for Ms Lee or Sim.
Good service and decent prices.

Don't think I can get education discount. My kids still not old enough. And I'm not a teacher. Can get education discount easily? :D
