Bro, I have similar issues previously. I guess is common issue for wear and tear after sometime. Went back to Marantz service center tochange a new pickup lens and dont know fix what. Cost me $340. All is well until now since 2015.

My 2nd hand sa11s2 cannot read the disc (especially sacd, often redbook as well) unless i let it warm up for about 10-15 minutes. The lens should be about 3 years old, is it the cause? Or is it some failing capacitors etc? Appreciate your comment and where to send for servicing, thanks!

My SA-7S1 also has problem after more than 10 years the wear & tear issue is surfacing. Sometimes the cd tray auto close back after press open or it cannot read the cd after initiate power on. Takes a few minutes for it to stabilize then it will be fine.

Once it kaput I will get SA-10 as there is no more replacement parts for this old model.

The price difference between KI Ruby and SA-10 is not very substantial so getting SA-10 is a no brainer in my opinion.

Time to move on.. especially since the prices have been rising in recent years?

Perhaps related to news the Sound Audio might be buying up Marantz, Onkyo and Pioneer in a single deal. Still subject to definitive agreements and due diligence. Just a guess.

Finally cannot take it anymore, need to bring in the sa11s2 for repair. Who is the new service center that took over from Trinity? Anyone has experience with them?
