When r u going? Feel like getting a set to play play if the price is gd. I settle the courier

RRP in the video someone posted earlier is HK$42800 converted to approx S$7700.  Street price should be a significantly cheaper with discount from dealers.  You can google the street price in google :)

Yes it is 110V. That is why I said if going HK for holiday, bringing one back makes good sense.  Japan pricing is just for reference only.

HK is 220V not 230V

Doesn't really matter.

From the pixs shown in this HK review, it is 230V.

Just take note that when you carry back this huge box thru Singapore custom, they may ask you to pay GST..

Also if you are very unlucky and bought a lemon or equipment got damage during transportation back home...no local warranty. So if you are ok to overlook these risks, by all means..go for it.
Curious, how best to carry this back? Check in luggage or hand carry? Or take out from box and pack inside luggage?

If you are genuinely interested, my view is that you can negotiate a better price with Jay Audio.

Save you the trouble of lugging that 10kg+ player around.

Price difference should be at least 15-20%, otherwise let's support local, and keep our shops open, and enjoy the warranty.
IIRC, the HKG Marantz price is ok, but not stunning. It's not like Accuphase or other brands where the difference can be big.

Actually if you compare RRP, it is S$10K here compared to HK S$7.7K.  So difference is 23%.  However, not sure the actual selling price here.  In HK, from google search, posted street price is around $7k or less.  So like what Pete said, if diff is not much, buy here.  YMMV.

I know Jay also. I understand his predicament and he will never be able to sell or match HK price.  His hands are tied as the high RRP is set by D&M and there is nothing he can do.  By posting this info, I hope a small silent group of interested buyer can sound their unhappiness on the local price by D&M Singapore.

Got hold of a SA11 S2, thinking of changing fuses to try. Does anyone know what specs to look for? It's a local unit

Take out the fuse from it and you will know yourself. There are 6 fuses at top left corner.

Any particular reason for doing so?
You know the adage, if it isn't broken, don't fix it..
The Reference Series kit are seriously over-engineered. Nothing really needs to be done...

Thanks tiktokape. Bro pete there are some who say that replacing the fuses leads to improvements,  more like a tweak rather than fixing any issues

Yes, fuse tweak does provide improvement - i did for Oppo as well. Don't expect too much from default fuse. I will take ceramic fuse any given day.
