As far as I know, the codec is H.264, and the size is 800plus x 300 (or 400) plus.. depending on the movie...

Thanks, so closer to SD resolution but in H.264 codec.  ;D

Most of the time, it should be 852 (or 853) by 480, 464 or 352
Which is effectively 480p, or ED, Enhanced Definition.

Just found a few old digital copies - is there any way to ask for it after the date expires?

What movies?  If I have, can pass to you.  Mine is 720P version.

Thanks bro
Its more a want than a need - esp since I have the BR discs. I thought of keeping them on my iPod and watching on a long plane ride when nothing else is on....

Cheers.

Just downloaded a few that were still valid...

For some recent titles, the studios packaged it as BD, DVD plus Digital copy – making it like a 3 disc set with the 3rd disc being a ‘coaster’ just to “hold” the digital copy. So in such cases, when your digital copy disc does expire, you can still rip the DVD to your portable device using free software such as handbrake. In such instances, you even get to include subtitles! :)

Bro, I don't have a US iTunes acct but can I use handbrake to 'pull' out e digital copy?

Personally, I don't really like e idea of watching a movie on portable devices but it will be cool to have some movies on my iPhone... Like I am stranded somewhere

Francis... are you talking about the Digital Copy disc...? if I'm not mistaken, the digital copies on those discs are actually stored & "downloaded" from the itunes server upon approval of the code, instead of stored on the actual disc.

Then I guess it wouldn't work in my case since I don't have a US iTunes acct. O well... I got happy when I saw e Handbrake software
