for dented tweeter, the official recommended method is to suck it out with your mouth... no joke...this is the only way to remove the dent properly avoiding damage.

LOL!...DJQ maybe you should try lick the dust away with your tongue.... ;D ;D ;D :-X ;D

according to Mick Tillman of Dynaudio N/A:

Dynaudio tweeters use a doping compound on the surface.

Scotch tape, duct tape, masking tape, tape worm, etc.. will all cause damage that is not reversible.

if the doping compound is compromised the tweeter will damage

for dented tweeter, the official recommended method is to suck it out with your mouth... no joke...this is the only way to remove the dent properly avoiding damage.

if a tweeter is properly sucked out then 99% of the time it is just fine with maybe a few ripples. The ripples, in many cases, will iron out over time and if not typically have no affect on sound.

Sometimes you need oral interaction to get aural satisfaction.  ;)

Is there any sound quality improvement after licking the tweeter? Curious to know, maybe this is one good idea to improve sound quality without spending any money...

While I am not an expert on licking tweeter, my thought is, will it improve the sound quality is all depend on individual....different tweeter have different sensitivity thus not surprise it always response differently...

~~~Some tweeter like to be lick, and some not..... some don't like it in the beginning but will beg for more you after do it ; you can check did the licking bring in any improvement by watching at how smooth is the motion of the tweeter, when you started to play....song...
Anyway,since the tweeter can be suck , my guess is usually licking is not a problem too, but remember to be gentle and soft because tweeter is very sensitive thing..... ;D ;D :P ;D
