Totally agree.  this hobby is a journey, not a destination.  Why should we ever settle down?

Thanks for the answer Lord Hawke~~
Well, the sound change is what I heard...it makes sense if it does slightly, but still not sure... ;D
I just made the down payment for my C1 in high gloss white lacquer finish, it's going to take 10-12 weeks to get it done...
Now every single day just feels extremely tedious to me....

Hi

I own the Black lacquer finish C1.

Good question, does it sound better? Psychologically, it may affect your mood, in-directly it will affect the sound. Imagine, everyday you listen and look at a bright red C1. Will you feel happy...maybe yes or maybe not..

I have some friends who put some "nice" & "Sporty"  sticker onto their cars. They feel that car automaticially increase by 5HP...haha

I recalled someone sharing about C1 pairing with Jeff Rowland Continuum 500, which is also class D and said "it brought tears to my eyes when I go home".

Hi

It's me.

Attached is some pic I have taken from another web site, hope it is ok.

It shows some example of different setup of C1 and other Dynaudio Speaker.

Totally understand...but my music life still worths tweaking for quite a while  :P

Totally agreed, there is no end man!!!

Unless you give up the hobby. Just like some of my friends, give up their HiFi hobby and go into another hobby.

But after a while this will happen

I am a big fan of Dyanudio too.  but if I have to settled down with one pair of speakers it would be a B&W..

I am new to Dynaudio, still learning from the bro here.

Seems that you are happy with a B&W. As for me, if I own any of the system below, it will settle me down for a while

i believe you know that they are the mbl 101s. but if given a choice, i prefer the more value-for-money martin logan electrostatic speakers over these ;D

Isn't there a mismatch in sound if you using 200c as centre and CS2.4 as mains? You get good panning from LCR for fronts? or you use Audience 42 as mains for HT?

Not a very good match for CS2.4 with 200c. I have used CS2.4 and contour center. It is totally out.

I guess Bro DJQ has long term plan. I can smell C1 is coming......

C1...C1....C1...C1...
