You certainly went all out with the accessories !
How are the Nordost Frey cables? Did you compare them to the Red/Blue dawn?

I'm a strong believer in tweaks and accessories...they make a difference.  I used the Blue Heaven some 13 years ago...found it neutral but thin sounding.  I have heard the Red Dawn which IMO finds it more sonic than the Blue Heaven.  Ended up with the SPM which was a good combo with my other cables and equipment at that time.

Before buying the Frey, I did a AB with SPM and found that its way much better than SPM in terms of tonality, dynamics, soundstage and the background darkness.

Use another tactic saying that some friend of yours desperate need cash n need to sell his speakers off cheap till cannot miss type of price. My stuff always come back to the house in this way.  :)

Your friends are so kind that they even repacked the stuff into boxes so it looked like it was brand new?  ;D

Not so easy to do. CFO handles finances, keeps the cheque book and sees all the credit card bills.

Under such circumstances ditch the box n just bring the speakers back. Anyway, I still have to admire the bros here for letting their wife control the finances.

For me, I just give my wife my contribution to the family every month n the rest is mine to spend in whatever I want. She can advice and comments but cant stop. Same for the things that she wants to buy too.

Bro sty,

I think we'll in the same league.

My wife knows all my gears don't come cheap so she don't bother about me as long I don't bother what she bought for herself.

Yeah man, your gears really dont come cheap  :). Anyway, nowadays most couples r actually working so to me is that we work hard we should also enjoy hard. Apart from the household expenses and agreement to put aside for family building, respective party should have the given space to indulge in ones hobby but of course try not to go into debts lah.  ;D
