wonder if Focus 140 or Contour 1.4 come near to 70 – 80% of the performance of C1?

Just curious, is there anyway we can measure something like "near to 70% - 80%" in performance of a speaker comparing with another speaker????

If the sound quality of the Focus 140 & Contour 1.4 comes close to C1, I wouldn't mind settle on contour 1.4 ;D

i understand your question, but you see ... comparing with another speakers...  e.g Ferguson Hill Vs Dynaudio ... difficult because the speakers are build for people with totally different taste

but talking about the same brand, same philosophy and house sound... in term of Esotec Vs Esotar … trickle down technology from higher end model, the % in performance...why not

Ok, so it means that they should be from the same brand? In that case, I should work hard n save hard for higher end Dyns so that I can start the comparison.  :)

i dun think so less than 60%. i remember the contours i heard, did not gave me any deep impression. Maybe matching or the setup didnt bring out its best. not sure if its the older contour model i have heard. Focus 140 and 110 have difference midbass driver sizes, so the 140 can go lower on the bass.
oh man why i talking about dyn when i dun have one.  :P
