New technologies that clearly better, on paper or sounds better? Guess for audio, we want to hear better sound, trust why some brands nvr change much in their design after so many years unless they are convinced that it sounded better with new technologies

The brand needs to keep on releasing new models to jack up the price.  :P

Hi, I'm looking to get dynaudio excite 14a

just want to ask, is there a dynaudio signature sound? or are their range very much different from one another.

If there's a signature sound, anyone can share with me how does it compare to other popular brands?

I love ATC for their signature sound where it is very balance, neutral, clear mid range and tight bass. Harbeth's signature is their warm mid-range and slow bass.

Hi yunie, u didn’t like the sq thus the fast resale? I presumed u bought after your above post...or I mistaken excite 14a n x14a were same model 🤔🤔

It’s an amazing room.. seen it for myself
The size of an auditorium and totally silent... not many companies own such a measuring room..

IIRC, B&W, and Revel (Harman) has pretty extensively kitted measurement rooms too, not sure if matches this Dynaudio one though!  ;D

Walked into AV One planning to get the Emit M10, but walked out with a Evoke 10... joining the club, although no where near the big boys here!  ;D

Am sure the speakers are not hitting full potential (due to desk/rear clearance constraints in the bedroom), but boy, the speakers sure do sing. Between the M10 and Evoke, the Evoke's soundstaging and the Cerotar/Hexis combination stood out for me. Driving this with a C338 amp (not very dynamic sounding) and it's still acceptable. Now to enjoy the music... and think about a amp upgrade down the road.  :)

AV One was running some sales for older products (Excite X14, Emit M20).

Welcome to Dynaudio owners club. knowing how ppl feel about buying older models, those excite and emit are dead stock. you heard how the Evoke can sound better in everyway. run in the speakers more you get more poison. haha

Oh the Evoke sounds better than the older Excites?
Wah, good man like this.
Maybe can even match the old contours 1.3/1.4

sorry to say, Contour series are higher range models. they will be better sounding than evoke series.
Dynaudio is smart to make speakers that lower range will not sound better than higher range. no matter the age.
they have revised and discontinued many models.
