I say 5yrs. When I know I still like them and have not found a better replacement. I wished I had a newer set like Pete and bro comfort. But I got to enjoy them longer than they have.  ;D

Hi Pete, thanks for your kind gesture. What amp are you using now? I remember I read your blog on S40 in 2017 and piqued my interest in this speakers ever since.

Hi tsi-dsg, Tiktokape and twlmad, thanks for the suggestions.
So bro, what did you get in the end?

Hi Pete,
I got a preowned Kinki EX-M1 amplifier for my S40 which sounds good for my ears for the price.
Also, I changed my speaker cables to Neotech UPOCC 12AWG as I realised Tellurium Q Black II SC also caused a tinge of brightness.

The new 2019 dynaudio confidence, close look on the material used , with wider dispersion characteristics. They make really good speakers... but don’t ask me about the internal wiring... lol

Here is a video on speaker placement guide, by the master....

shhh ronildoq its a open secret. even when they use average wires there is a reason to it. cannot anyhow replace.
Capacitors as well. there is no need to use any higher grade ones. but dam the WBT binding post they use only the $180 set of 4 Next Gen version. come on, the Confidence is over tens of thousands, why never use the top range Classic Signature GOLD/Platinum binding post value at $550 for a set of 4.  :P :P :P

I saw the speakers and asked the shorter one how much (should be the C50). I was told $40k. Overpriced imo.
