I’m not looking for an expensive surround sound receiver. I have a pair of bookshelf speakers I want to drive and want an reasonable budget amp that either can connect to Spotify, NAS or I can stream from my phone. I can connect it via Ethernet cable, don’t need WiFi.

Does any such thing exist?

You can consider the NAD M10

For the features you want, those models are considered budget.

The sonos connect amp is severely underpowered.

Maybe the powernode 2i

Need anything cheaper, can consider raspberry pi but need some basic CAS knowledge to setup. And pair it with any used budget stereo amp. Less than $600 can settle.
Without state clearly your budget, those experts here can simply recommend you up to a COE price of stuff.

Maybe my English is not so good.
I read it as he wanted a "reasonable budget" amp and not a "budget" amp. 😝

Was in a similar situation with TS, and chose the NAD C338. Has Chromecast/Spotify Connect functionality at a reasonable price. Pairing this with a Dynaudio Evoke 10 and it's still decent.
