Question of the day - will NESV give Roy one more chance against United on Sunday in the FA Cup, or will they sack him before that and replace him with Dalglish, hoping that the appointment of a Liverpool legend will spur the team to victory and rekindle your season with a victory over your deadly rivals?

Answer for this season: Ah Roy should not have been chosen  >:(

Question for this season: BUT which 'quality' manager would be in be in the right frame of mind to come, and to come cheap  ::) ??? :o :'(

Personal Answer: Kenny Dalglish, bcoz of his attachment with the club, bcoz of the attachment of fans (and maybe players) with him. At least, Kenny will do it for 'heart and soul', and maybe 'whatever money is paid to him....' ==> I hope  ;D

Patience seems to be asked of Liverpool fans this year...

We were asked to be patient as the new manager took over

We were asked to be patient as the new owners took over

We now need patience, as a suitable manager is being identified

I'm a patient person.

Is Dalglish the answer? As loyal as any of the Liverpool greats, Dalglish threw his name in the hat before Hodgson was chosen. I appreciate him putting up his hand and saying "I want it, give it to me".

But he has been out of the game for a very long time, Regardless how respected you were as a player, 1st stint as manager, the game has moved on.

His fave tactic when he was in charge of Liverpool was quick counter with Beardsley, Barnes, and Aldridge - ball out of defence to Beardsley, quick pass down the left wing for Barnes to run and cross, Aldridge to finish. Goal.

He inherited a team that was on the verge of being replaced, and he did not have to do any of the replacing. So what can he realistically bring to the current team? Is his tactical acumen up to date? Is this Liverpool team playing any better than the Newcastle team that went down with Shearer in charge?

Of the names mentioned, I am unfamiliar with Deschamps or the former Mourinho understudy's (sorry, don't know his name) work. But I am unimpressed with Rijkaard (Galatasaray stint shows what he can do with an average squad - not very much).

Martin O'Neill seems to be the best of the lot, but doesn't that say it all? Best of the lot.

So that's why the search will take time, and so Hodgson will still be in charge. Would any of the fans trust Sammy Lee (bless him, but after his Blackburn stint, not manager material) with the caretaker role? I am assuming he is still the number 2 guy...

NESV must sack Hodgson now or Liverpool Football Club and its fans may turn on itself.  It’s that serious.

I thought this already happened under the previous owners. As an outsider, it seems to me that Liverpool fans have been in a constant state of either wanting their owners or managers out,

Meanwhile, the non-performing players get a free pass...

Well, it's happened at last!
Now let's see if King Kenny is just an old relic or a wonder worker.

Yippie!!! Yippie!!! Was discussing exhasutively with my son's friend father on the football training pitch, and was saying if anything should happen, it must happen TODAY. Otherwise, we would stuck with Ah Roy for good till end season......... ;D

While Kenny may not necessary be the BEST choice, IMHO, at least we need some morale booast within the club, among players, and fans. We have the players, but simply no soul and heart. Hopefully, we can instill the right mental state and get the result tomorrow ---> what a match for Kenny to return to be 'benchmarked'.

 ;D :D ;) 8)
