looks like Carson is only worth 4M...isn't that a bargain?  Thought at that price, arsenal will be interested!

All players looks impressive on such snippets of their performances. The last time I saw the one for Cisse, he looks like a world beater….  ::)

Forget about Cisse or sissy who belonged to the Houllier's era, Rafa couldn't wait to sell him off.

Look who has Rafa bought in? Fernando Torres - a world beater and indeed a world beater:)

In trust for Rafa we have:)

Lucerne 1 - 2 Liverpool  (Lucas, Voronin)

"Reds boss Rafael Benitez handed new goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri the gloves for his debut, while fellow newcomer Philipp Degen was also in a first XI which included Spaniard Danny Pacheco but not Steven Gerrard, who was left on the bench.

Pacheco was the architect of the 10th-minute opener, combining well with Brazil midfielder Lucas before the latter slotted home coolly to round off the move."

Caught the first half of the match lucky went to sleep in the 2nd half. The first goal had Pacheco dribbling into the top of the box, threaded a thru pass to Lucas who slotted home in the 10th min. Two mins later Luzern equalized. Cross came and Degen got out-jumped at the far post, the header went over the keeper Cavalieri across the goalmouth and dropped right at the feet of a Luzern player who toe-poked it in. He was actually flanked by two red shirts so looked like the defence got caught flat. Second goal came from Voronin who half-chipped a shot from just outside the box, looked real pretty.
Pacheko looks real promising, he loves to run at and take on defenders. He nearly scored when he did a one-two with Beanyuon but he tried a difficult chip over the goalie (which Torres does so well) but was blocked. Would love to see Nemeth in some 1st team action.
Most of the attack was down the centre, counted zero crosses from the sides.
Hope its not a portent of things to come ie leaking goals from crosses at the back and no service from the wings up front, same old problem.....

Keane finally comes onboard

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N160674080728-1837.htm

although he's a great addition to the team but 20mil is  ::) ...in two years he'll be pushing 30 and worth less than half of the price now.

Think Rafa has lost it.  19 mil plus possibly another 1.3 mil for a guy who is over the hill.  Overpaid heavily for such a player.  There are better choices.  Wenger would have done better with this kind of money.
