Now just need to play the waiting game for my MP5(from johnblue) and ipod dock with remote(from ebay) to arrive  :)

Hi limbs,

Which ipod dock did you buy? I was looking for one too but don't know whether to get apple original ones or third party. Thanks!

So, in short, I should have no problem using a stereo plug to RCA cable to connect from the IPOD dock to the MP5 right?
Thanks

Well you can bid for one RCA to ipod cable on leshele.
I got mine for 0.99GBP.

Just got my MP5 today(it took about a week+ to arrive)
A few questions in mind:
- how to open the cage to expose the 3 tubes?
- the supplied power cable head don't seem to fit local power point, do you all get a different cable or just buy a adpater to convert?

To open the cage, u see there is 2 small round holes on the cage itself.  Stick a philips screwdriver in and u are able to locate the 2 screws holding the cage and vola~!!!.  As for the cable, get a adaptor else cut off the the head on the cable and change to the UK plug.

You can just get an adaptor, but if you have pruritis ani -- itchy backside

Get an MK plug, swop the whole power cable....

Get a good quality 3.5mm to RCA plug to replace the one it came with, I use a Audioquest cable :)

What color did you get?

I got the black colour(that's the only colour johnblue has)
I will get the adaptor first and try the amp out
Haven't have a chance to set it up yet as still haven't decide what speakers to pair it with
Currently I'm using a Onix X-LS as my front speakers for my HT, would probably try to pair with it too
Thinking that since this amp is small, can try bring it around during the audition

Toshiba XA2 and DARED MP5 making music
I just bought a y-splitter which allows the single input on the Dared to be fed from my iPOD and my Toshiba which has Sharc DAcs that are supposed to be pretty spiffy.

The result really made me sit up again. What was supposed to be background music, quckly became an intense session of rummaging through old CDs, forgetten songs to bring out the best from the setup. And oh my, what a sound!

Focus, clarity like someone uses a solvent to take away years of mist from my aural windscreen. The combination of solid DACs, a good transport (the Toshiba weighs in at a good 6kg or so), good ol' cable talk RCA cables, the amp connected to my RS 1s and a marriage of high sensitivity speakers and an amp which cannot stop singing and you have tight bass, pacey rythym and a sweet top.

Lovely :)

Hi Guys,

How much is the MP5? I have a pair DM601 S3 connected to my AVR. Can I connect the MP5 to the speaker without removing the cable to the AVR?

Not recommended. You better have a speaker switch. Nobody knows what's gonna happen if both amps are on.

Thanks! How much is a speaker switch? Where can I buy one? Assuming only one amp switch on at one time, technical can?
