Who is your favourite female voice/vocalist  (any language,  song etc.) in your music collection? I know voice is in the "ear of the beholder",  just like looks. I hope I didn't miss out any good ones while exploring.

Please don't include Celine Dion in the list below.

1. Suzanne Vega
2  Anne Murray
3. Karen Carpenter
4.
5.
And so on.

Kit Chan (my local fav)
Karen Mok
Valen Hsu
Tarcy Su (her voice better when was older)
Tracy Huang

Unfortunately, their albums were all under Taiwanese Rock Records, which have lousy recordings. Only Kit Chan (under Universal) has one album that was well recorded.

I disagree. I feel Rock Records are decently good especially for Valen Hsu and most of their singers. Karen Mok is the exception her CDs sounded bright in my system.

First time I hear Rock Records recording decently good. Maybe improvement was at the later years before it wound up.

BTW, Valen Hsu is not under Rock Records but East Record.

I still feel Rock Records produce good record for Winnie Hsu, Wan Fang and Emil Chau just to name a few.

how come nobody mention Faye wong?😬

Chinese female pop singer is the reason why I started to play high fi , I want to make them sing in front of me in the midnight in my room , during my teenage time, many favorite one come and go, when I am younger , I don’t care too much about the recording quality and do they know how to sing or not,  as long as they are pretty and sweet looking.....张清芳,千百惠,方季惟,周慧敏。苏慧伦,陈淑桦 etc etc....some can sing well some not really good but must look sweet(when they were young) 🤣

and than they was a time where many China audiophile female singer come out, 陈洁丽, 童丽 etc ....so many...I can’t even remember their name now.

Now my favorite is辛晓琪,万芳all their Music and recording are good, many other that I like are 徐佳莹,田馥甄,Olivia Ong,  陈绮贞 etc....sometime recording not so good but their voice are good.😬
