Help - Sigma USB Dock
« on: September 05, 2019, 21:02 »
I  just updated my D800 to firmware 1.11, and it broke the Sigma Art35 lens AF.
Nikon lenses AF properly, no issue.

I am guessing some incompatibility issue between the Nikon body & Sigma lens. I do not have the Sigma USB dock (Nikon mount). If a kind soul is willing to loan me the dock (or help me) to update the Sigma lens firmware, it would be most appreciated.

I suppose I can fall back to camera firmware 1.10 if I have no choice.

Thanks for any help!

I think I would probably be the only one here who would have such a Sigma USB dock. Let me know if you want to borrow it.;)
You would have to download and install the SIGMA Optimization Pro software to use it though.

Thanks for your offer, really appreciate it. I may take it up if the purchase falls through.

Someone in clubsnap PM to sell me the dock. Am pursuing this path first..

Just to post my observations.

The power down reboot camera trick does not fix the problem.

I downgraded the camera firmware to 1.10, and the Sigma lens AF works again.

Conclusion:  Nikon sabo Sigma
