First session completed with the guys today ! Finally, everyone enjoyed . Haze is so bad and it was nice to do indoor demo

VEP collection tomorrow, so had to bring it forward early

Everyone had a taste of BEQ And ULF... playing the same clip to and forth with and without bass eq. hope not too much poison coming for those who will be popping by next week...

I also had a good chance to monitor the frequency responses and how hot these clips were playing

Some nice tips too from everyone :)

Stay tuned for those attending next week :), we all had fun today, was good catch up !

Thanks for the hosting, nice to catch up with some old friends n finally meeting ralfale.
The ULF from the Seaton F18s are very clean n powerful, the playback level was just nice to me as ULF is very additive,'easy' on the ears even playback @ very high spl,it's more on the 'feel' rather then hearing it.
BEQ is something real for sure,it brought out lots of lost/filter out ULF contents make the whole sound track sounds balance.
This round not only the ULF performance, the whole system is a few steps up liao from my last visit, well done!

Lol just nice huh bro ? Lol. That’s 140db at 9hz.... lol

Pregnant lady cannot come for demo... jialat

Feels like nothing right ? 140db at 30hz is very different from 140db at 9hz, the 30hz will Shake the whole house , but the 9hz feel ... that’s something

The aeroplane moving left to right from unbroken scene is 9hz 140db... I think the difference is the seatons doesn’t have any ULF filter, so other than intense SPLs at infrasonics down to 9hz, it also extends to single digit all the way down... something to do with dsp, not sure what he did with the DSPs there

But the tonal balance is very solid, the weight to the entire sound track is different with BEQ, suddenly u will notice what the f18s are capable of

Glad it was an eye opener for everyone , it’s not something u can experience anywhere

Yea this time round is the best I’ve done, it’s fully time aligned.

Another thing I noticed with a time aligned system that most of the places in the room will sound good... it’s to do with all impulse hitting and stopping same time... so doesn’t matter where u sit, all decayed off same time

Really enjoyed the session! Bryan place is constantly evolving. Always lots of things to learn with every visit. Thanks for the invite and meeting kakis like ngsk and wim! Always happy to catch up with everyone. This should be done regularly!

Beq is really something special. The short demo is enough to show the differences. The same scene suddenly becomes very enjoyable and immersive. Effects seems more real. Now i finally know what im missing all these years.

Never realise foot steps can be 9hz :)

Yea, the hulk’s foot steps were 135db at 9hz.... soft step by step run towards abomination... those were coming in at 9hz ... that is the feeling... these are the type of details that adds on to the immersion, mostly being felt

Yea toggling to and forth with without BEQ all of us could tell, even myself sitting behind at kitchen area, that area was much more intense actually, all the bass was accumulating at the corner there

I keep feeling the waves after waves of energies at the corner area, Gavin as usual was busy monitoring driver excursion

I was actually looking at the scenes and the frequencies and their SPLs to tell what impact gives what feeling at what frequencies

Just a normal living room, but improved noise floor levels with focus on HT

Smt wings on front stage with rockwool backing as front wall bass traps, smt wings at surround and back of MLP, Ceiling 90% BAD panels with echophon and rockwool with airgap as bass trap

Some aural aid panels and Moab as dihedral mount bass traps
