This just came in, in time now for tomorrow’s demo

In view of the current promotions, I faster took advantage of the good pricing on offer and got me self one or the cube 4!

I spoke to local power conditioner specialist from sound affairs , after the segregation of the power supply, I have now dived in deeper, to segregate source equipment from power amplifier.

Source like the lyngdorf MP50, Oppo 205, Apple TV and Xbox goes into the Cube 4 plixir

The rest of the power amplifier goes through the plixir elite 3000

Now this is becoming audiophile HT very soon

Perfect time to demo and for me to listen to the differences again, as I will be repeating the same scenes again and again... ive now achieved the level that I’m so Super familiar with all the scenes I can tell instantly which frequency and what is missing what not for HT

Lol, havent tested. What I found big improvement is the separation of details with the power upgrades, using the PE35 ground filter and dedicated line. Dynamics improved a lot as well. It’s crystal clear and Super detailed.

See u tomorrow...  let u be the judge  ;D

I deem myself a poor judge in terms of sound quality (my wife is much better than me, sadly), however, looking at the bright side, if I'm able to tell the difference/improvement, it would be very true, and obvious to most of ppl, lol.....

That’s alright, we all start off somewhere. I’m no different from u honestly. It takes time, don’t worry, I’ll explain this when u r here, so u can pick up the difference and tell which is which, what frequency, what feeling , everything in detail

Thanks Roni for hosting the very enjoyable session for us. Would like to share my thoughts on Roni's setup:

This is the first time I visited Roni's place, the overall impression is: it's really an "ear"-opener to me, the sound signature, particularly the bass, is what I'm always dreaming of. I enjoyed all the demo clips Roni shared, the one and a half hour session is just too short. Suggest combining two sessions and have 4 bros at one go, to fully experience the great sound.

While waiting outside chatting with Chua, we could already hear the nice bass sound keep coming out. When first stepped inside the room with demo paused, I can instantly feel the low noise floor in the hall, very very quiet, which made the aircon sound so loud, prominent and annoying  ::) :'(.

The 1st session has yet done when we went in, so Roni continue demo the famous 7Hz Hulk footstep, although I was sitting far behind the MLP, the ULF was just too obvious to miss, it was not that kind of loud/strong bass which is capable of tearing down the house, but I can feel the pressure in the atmosphere, the attack was straight to the heart (sorry Roni, I didn't feel much attack to my stomach, it was clearly my heart, like it was grabbed by a giant's hand, squeeze stroke by stroke, very different feel to night club kind of bass), wow!

Next up is the lycan scene, the gunshot is so fast but I can clearly differentiate every single shot, the bass is that fast, clean and punchy. That was also the 1st time I understood what does hair stand up mean, although not very strong. The bass management is so good, I sat only 1 meter away from the two 18" stacked Seaton subs, however, I can't locate the source of bass. I'm really impressed.

There are too many great sounds demonstrated during the session, like the Atmos leaf demo scene, I heard so many missing details, much more traceable leaf movement track and very well controlled bass; the MTV clip in the Atmos demo disc was also clean and musical, bass was just nice like icing on the cake, I could listen to this kind of music for hours without fatigue (sorry Chua, to me it sounds much much better than what I heard in my system, while for a HiFi guy like you, YMMV,  ;D); The surround effect of Alien Covenant was so overwhelming in the nice way; the midbass punch in the true legend scene was tight and fast, I felt like I was in the scene, witnessing the water splashing from the front center of the screen, to the right corner; the Bass EQ demo clip was also excellent example to experience the impact from ULF at 30Hz and below, the feel is completely different with and without Bass EQ.

Now comes to my favourite part, Real Steel, this is one of my favourite movie, and I love the strong punchy bass all the while, however, I experienced completely different feel in Roni’s place, on top of the punchy bass, now I could completely understood what is hair-standing feel (it is much much much stronger feel than Lycan scene), when the robot swings the fists from left to right, right to left continuously, I was like facing the giant iron fists directly, the airflow, the pressure and the strength made my whole body hair stand with every wave of swing (yes, whole body hair, not just hair on the head). Oh boy, I was addicted to this unique experience completely, until Roni told me this is the unique bass signature from Seaton subs, my fire was put down immediately. Frankly speaking, this bass signature is really too enjoyable to forget…….Another clip with similar hair-standing feel but milder is Tron, Real Steel is still the best….

All in all, a very fruitful trip, and nice to meet Roni, and the rest of forum bros who joined the demo, I fully enjoyed every second of the 2 hours. Thanks Roni, for sharing with us your journey, experience and knowledge in a very open-minded manner.

Last but not least, some thoughts/suggestions for further improvement:

1) the aircon noise is just too loud to ignore, changing a new aircon should be on the top of your next to do list since you put in so much efforts to reduce the overall noise floor in your hall,  8) 8)

2) the high frequency sound in some of the demo clips is a little bit too bright (for instance, true legend scene, when jars were hit broken), not very sure whether this is due to MA speakers (I owned MA silver LCR before and felt the speakers are too bright to my liking), but it's not too obvious, maybe just me, as I like warmer sound. :)
