Watched first HDR10+ movie on Panasonic OLED
« on: August 24, 2019, 19:02 »
Was surprised today, when I fired up Captain Marvel on my Panny OLED and the multicolored HDR10+ logo came up. Was very surprised because I don't even have a HDR10+ UHD player. This is what you need.

HDR10+ TV (say Panasonic or Samsung)
Amazon Fire Stick 4K
Movies Anywhere account
Vudu account

I actually bought the UHD (which has neither DV or HDR10+) and registered the code to Vudu, because I read that its the only way to assure 4K streaming. The movie transferred automatically to Movies anywhere and registered as a bought title on Amazon Prime Video. Playing the movie through the Fire Stick 4K resulted in HDR10+. As far as I know, the Fire Stick 4K is the only device that supports HDR10+

It doesn't. The next model up does. In anycase, the Philips 5502 is connected to my BenQ W2700, which only has HDR10, like most projectors.
