Absolutely! Also on CBS All Access...

Best of all the series will have a whole bunch of the previous Trek crews  ;D

Quote
The series is described as an exploration of the “next chapter in Picard’s life,” but it looks like his past will catch up with him in the form of fellow “Next Generation” cast members Brent Spiner, who played Data; Jonathan Del Arco, who portrayed Hugh the Borg; and, of course, Jonathan Frakes, who was Commander William T. Riker.

Spiner and Del Arco joined Stewart onstage at Comic-Con, as did Jeri Ryan, who played 7 of 9 on “Star Trek: Voyager.”

Here's the launch panel session;

Looks like series is going to premiere on Jan 23, 2020 and will be 10 episodes. Wonder if it will show on Netflix like Discovery or will remain exclusive to CBS All Access. Hope it will be 4K HDR unlike Discovery. Will probably try to get it one way or other....

The article says 'Star Trek: Picard debuts in North America on the same day that the 2020 Sundance Film Festival launches on CBS All Access. The very next day, on January 24, the series will hit more than 200 countries and territories on Amazon Prime Video."

So I think it's probably more than just UK and Australia.

Wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch the first episode or binge watch the series when they all became available.

But I couldn’t resist. Too many potential spoilers showing up on YouTube.

And wow.

What a ride. Really really love the premise of the series. It’s Picard as we know him, but not quite. Also love the twist at the end of the first episode.

Can’t wait for the next episode. Definitely more Star Trek than Discovery.

I watched this a couple of days ago and I agree that this new Star Trek serial is way much better than Discovery which was boring and very tedious to watch, gave up half way then ;D

Episode 2 was IMHO a bit more of a letdown - compared to Episode 1.

It feels almost like this was designed to be a binge watch type of series - so it is OK to have some exposition, moving of the pieces that takes time to set up.. but you can then move on to Episode 3 where you see the pieces being connected.

The best demonstration of this is Jack Ryan also on Amazon Prime. Some of the earlier episodes set up characters that you don't really understand why they are there. But it all falls into place at the end.

Wont go into spoilers for now...

I find EO2 okay as they kept up with the pace and now trying to put the chess pieces in their right places for an intriguing story line :)

The series had its ups and downs - but it finally got into gear towards the end. It still has that bleak view of humanity as seen in more modern Star Trek series but it feels like this is how the Federation could end up if fundamentalists had their way. It may not be Roddenberry's way of social commentary about the world in his day, but it achieves much of the same as well.

Overall, a fitting tribute and send off to one of the most enduring characters in Star Trek and gives an injection of life in another to send us to Season 2
