HK is going to be freaking dead soon.

The 50 year one country two system is for HK to slowly adjust to integrate with China and not the way around.
If this generation of HK ppls think that they can do otherwise ....... HK will be no more very soon (be just another China city).

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-08-29/hong-kong-police-will-ban-mass-weekend-protest-march-scmp-says

Sh*t's gonna get real pretty soon I think...

HKPF should had acted earlier to ban any protests,big or small,pro government or anti government immediately after 21th July in concern of possible infiltration of rioters that will sway the initial agenda that the whatever protest marches can be.
should U had followed the development of the event since June,it's not hard to see that roughly around 1700hrs when the marches comes to an end of the day,rioters that hidden among the marching crowds moves off to 搞搞震...

Have you read HK’s Basic Law?

Quote

Article 11
In accordance with Article 31 of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, the systems and policies practised in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the social and economic systems, the system for safeguarding the fundamental rights and freedoms of its residents, the executive, legislative and judicial systems, and the relevant policies, shall be based on the provisions of this Law.

No law enacted by the legislature of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region shall contravene this Law.

Article 27
Hong Kong residents shall have freedom of speech, of the press and of publication; freedom of association, of assembly, of procession and of demonstration; and the right and freedom to form and join trade unions, and to strike.

Article 28
The freedom of the person of Hong Kong residents shall be inviolable.

No Hong Kong resident shall be subjected to arbitrary or unlawful arrest, detention or imprisonment. Arbitrary or unlawful search of the body of any resident or deprivation or restriction of the freedom of the person shall be prohibited. Torture of any resident or arbitrary or unlawful deprivation of the life of any resident shall be prohibited.

What you’re suggesting goes against HK’s Basic Law established by Beijing.  ::)

this series of events since June has demonstrated that is exactly what BJ wants to do with HK, let it die off.

the number of people demonstrating shows that many HKers have woken up from their slumber.

Can't be helped though right?  ;)... These are folks that, whether they realise it or not, have obviously been thoroughly mindfucked by the PAP about what constitutes fundmental human rights. When it comes to their $$ they can cow-father-cow-mother about the PAP, but when it comes down to basic human rights, they're all for restricting it so that they can continue to make $$. You can see it plastered all over their posts here against what the HK protesters are trying to achieve.

A nuclear option': Hong Kong and the threat of the emergency law
...
The city’s leader Carrie Lam said on Tuesday the government will use existing laws to “put a stop to violence and chaos”, after the pro-Beijing newspaper Sing Tao Daily said the government was considering invoking the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, a colonial era law with sweeping powers that was last used in 1967, to put an end to the current political crisis.

Quote
Urgent Statement of HKISPA on Selective Blocking of Internet Services

News media reported today that the government has plans to impose executive orders on Internet Service Providers to selectively stop some Internet applications.

The HKISPA therefore would like to issue this urgent statement.

Technically speaking, given the complexity of the modern Internet including technologies like VPN, cloud and cryptographies, it is impossible to effectively and meaningfully block any services, unless we put the whole Internet of Hong Kong behind large scale surveillance firewall.

By the above token, HKISPA would like to warn that, imposing any insensible restrictions on the open Internet would only result in more restrictions, as the original restrictions wouldn’t be effective, and ultimately the result is putting Hong Kong’s Internet behind a big firewall. Therefore, any such restrictions, however slight originally, would start the end of the open Internet of Hong Kong, and would immediately and permanently deter international businesses from positing their businesses and investments in Hong Kong.

過去三十小時,香港發生了甚麼事?
What's happened in the past 30 hrs:

岑子杰,民陣召集人,遇襲;
Jimmy Sham, convenor of CHRF, attacked;

陳浩天,民族黨召集人,被捕;
Andy Chan, convenor of National Party, arrested;

鍾健平,元朗遊行發起人,遇襲;
KP Chung, applicant of Yuen Long march, attacked;

民陣八三一遊行,被禁;
Planned march organized by CHRF on Aug 31, banned;

香港眾志黃之鋒、周庭,被捕。
Joshua Wong and Agnes Chow of Demosisto, arrested.

香港已進入全面威權警察國家時代。
Hong Kong has become a full fledged authoritarian police state.

😁
