Need an alternative for DAP when at home
« on: May 11, 2019, 09:51 »
All of my music is stored digitally. I have a headphone set up at home using a DAP and external DAC/amp but the DAP battery life sucks and I need to charge it daily.

What's the simplest / cheapest way to replace the DAP with something less portable that can be plugged in permanently? Ideally something that I can control with my phone to search for songs. A cheap HT PC? The files can be big DSD files so not sure if streaming works, and I don't need streaming anyway because prefer to listen locally in one location.

It is about time you give a description of your setup.
