I noticed jap products packed with more components and features compare to "angmoh" brands which could be justified by its price...

'Angmoh' price can be even double or triple and
Yet it is more empty space inside the metal case.

I personally, HT will go for japun brand but stereo
Go for 'angmoh' brand

 ;D

Quite the opposite for me. But you are right the Ang Moh brands seemed more “hollow” inside in terms of features etc. They usually go for what matters most and what truly brings out the best in their products rather than giving you all kinds of features but rarely used.

This is my first “Ang moh” AVR the reason I giving the Japs AVR a break is because I wanted to try something new and refreshing. All these years been playing with either Onkyo, if not Denon and Marantz. A much needed change is what I need I guess and I’m must say that I’m not disappointed.

Well... more ingredients(aka "liao"), lesser space for heat dissipation.
It's like comparing Honda Civic to Ford Mondeo...

Quite true. Heat is the biggest foe for any electronics. Efficient heat dissipation is very very important for both performance and the lifespan of the AVR.

Perhaps you may want to clarify with your statement of "strange blend of sophistry I sense"
Why should I worry about feeling? I did NOT even comment on your thread.

Haha. So barren in the innards for Ang Moh brand.

Anthem ARC is the key to a better sounding home theater experience. Considering that it is an in house proprietary calibration software down to the mic. We can expect a synergy between software and hardware.

Audyssey is a third party calibration suite used by most Japanese brands and till this date, whole it may not be the best in everything, there is no doubt that it is one of the top few that we can rely on for a good home theater surround sound experience without worrying too much.

For Anthem users waiting for the ARC Genesis. Hate to inform that ARC Genesis has been delayed due to some last minute technical issues with the software but Anthem has since resolved it. While although it did not live up to its promise to release it by end of Apr. It did respond to my query and they targeted this Fri.

We shall see.

Just finished my first 10 points measurement and I have to say that ARC Genesis is taking ARC to the next level. If ARC 2 calibration sounds great to you...Genesis just make everything even better with more transparent sound and tighter bass.

So far I only used the Auto mode. Tmr I will try to Professional mode to see what kind of changes I can made.

I am very happy with what Genesis does to my overall 7.2.4 sound system. Simply amazing!!!

Good work Anthem!!!
