Bought the NX5 and installed last night. Still need to do some lens adjustment by vendor but the initial impression of the picture is very good, much much better than the UHD60 in all aspects. It displays my PS4 1080/HDR very well, no need to bring in the PS4 Pro from my living room.

Tests a few games and glad that it is ok.

Should have go straight to the JVC. My suggestion for those who is thinking of moving from TV to projector screen, just bite the bullet and go for this range of projectors. Worth the $$$

Thanks

Congrats bro new toy.  Wise choice Superb Blacks )

hi bros, do any of you have an Apple TV 4K connected to your pj? i'm doing some homework on optimal settings for the Apple TV 4K and I found this 5min video. even though the guy in the video doesn't specifically discuss settings for the JVC, I thought i'd share this in case anybody else was interested:

Spot on this guy ! I’m using the same settings. Best use 4k SDR , choosing the 4k HDR forces it into BT2020 mode even on rec709, which is totally inaccurate and colours looked awful when it’s set in 4k HDR

yeah i was pleasantly surprised too. as long as both settings under frame matching are On, then the ATV4K will switch accordingly.

another thing that I really appreciate the N7 doing is that it can also automatically switch the Picture Mode between "Frame Adapt HDR" for 4K sources and "Cinema" for regular SDR sources. I found this out when I was trying to play Godzilla (1998) on Netflix. even though it was labelled as 4K, it was actually a SDR feed so the JVC did its auto picture mode switching.

Hi guys, I hope the image appears.
I want to install my HT in the living room, and I am keen on the JVC N7 projector. Based on the layout and dimensions, what screen size do you recommend? There will likely be some light leak from the stairs on the left, and folding door on the right (blackout curtains will be installed), so a big ass screen may lead to image being too dim?

Then, for the screen size you recommend, how far should the viewing distance be, and how far should the projector be placed?
If mounting it on a shelf at the far wall, will the distance be too far?

Thank you for your help guys
