Today I literally spending a lot of time cleaning up the mess left behind by the Spambots. Not sure how many times more.

Queks have been alerted and he will try to look into the matter, meanwhile I encourage members to continue flag up any spambot postings for us so that we can take a deeper dive and trace the root cause (origin).

Spambots more often than not take advantage in lapses of sysadmin to update server and system apps and services. Apps like Simple Machines have bugs discovered all the time and many leave open vulnerabilities. If you don't keep on top of them the bots will get you.
I have a pile of stuff that pushes out squiggly waveforms from smaller squiggly waveforms that sometimes come from 1's and 0's.
It's wonderful to behold as long as you don't let the magic smoke out.

Life is short! Enjoy the music while it plays, when it stops, there might be a chair for you...or  maybe not.
