« on: December 22, 2018, 22:30 »
I can’t believe it all sonos speakers cannot be connected via Bluetooth. In an event my wifi is down I can still have Bluetooth connection. Just don’t know what sonos is thinking of? ??? ???
So I gave up buying sonos one.

Here’s the alternative

Only Alexa no google assistance. Maybe I should just buy the google speaker or wait for portable model.

I have tried many WiFi Bluetooth speakers in the market. If u want WiFi + Bluetooth, the alternative to Sonos is Yamaha’s latest MusicCast 20. Only the MusicCast 20 that sound good to me, other model or previous version are not that nice. MC20 can also be set to stereo mode via WiFi which sound pretty good! With MusicCast Sub 100, u can have a 2.1 system wirelessly, which is very cool!

I am using the JBL Link 300 with Google Assistant. Very happy with it. Not sure if it meets your need. Main purpose for me is Google Assistant (control my home automation) and stream music on Spotify and Tunein with Google Assistant help. Comes with Bluetooth also.

They also have portable version like Link 10 and 20.

If you do not need portability and waterproof, the Link 300 is a much better sound speaker. Has good bass from the passive radiator and play loud enough to fill medium size room if needed.
