I personally have handshake issue when was using cable from robert
sinlim.. bcoz of long length cable 8m.. i tot it was due to my Sony PJ.

... Sony recommended not to use more than 5m...
End up,  I use ACTIVE HDMI cable to solve this handshake issue..
If you use TV, shouldnt be a problem coz tv have built in signal amp.

The most mentioned budget speaker cables in this forum is Belden. Personally, i prefer Klotz or Van Der Hul Silver line for the front 3 channels. If ur budget allows, go up to the Jap makes from CANARE or FURUTEC.
Interconnects for coaxial digital, most mentioned is Audioquest.
As for HDMI, lots of members in XP believes in price is true logic, hence the popularity of FIBBR cable. However if your budget is tight, and ur source equipment is too far away from ur screening device, go for version 2.0 HDMI. Typically for 4k image, version 1.4 is enuff.

I use U-green for their USB cable. It is a good product though...
It is faster transfer-rate speed compared to original cable got it free from WD.

I was advised, better to use active HDMI cable for the length between 6m to 15m coz fiber optic will have two times conversions perhaps if the conversation is not accurate
then it will affect the color... I am not sure whether it is correct information.

"I was advised, better to use active HDMI cable for the length between 6m to 15m coz fiber optic will have two times conversions perhaps if the conversation is not accurate"

Is this true?
I was thinking to use fiber cos the price of the UGreen is similar to Belden active HDMI.

How is the cable so far? Any issues?
I found it on Lazada now $70+.
But I saw that it is from China and I need it quite soon.
How long did it take to come when you bought it?

Not sure your Budget and the length you need. But these are some of the items I have/am using and thought were good.

- Speaker cables 16 and 12 AWG
Belden cable at LHS. Good for general system unless you system is really high end.
Audioquest flx-slip 14/4. Good for most usage and ease of installation. Am using this currently.
DMN solid core cable. Clarity with power. Higher end cable that really sound diff. Gives very focused sound. Brought from KEC at good discount rate previously.
Would suggest you try belden(Pure movie) or audioquest(movie/music) first and decide what tweaks you need.

- HDMI cables  - Both normal and active
Recommend to buy from Monoprice. They have certified 4K cables that are ultra slim. Just brought a bunch and all working well. Their active cable has been very reliable so far. If u need only short run, buy their 8k certified cable.

- Ethernet Cat6
Brought from amazon. Cheap and Color coded. Rated Cat7 too.

- Electrical wiring for dedicated electrical line
Get from Robert at LHS. He will recommend the best for your need. Do note some are really stiff.

- Banana plugs (not a cable but related)
Buy at B1 of Sim Lim Square. There’s a shop at the corner where they display the banana plugs in a glass cabinet. Get the simple ones will do. Ard $3 each. Solid built and gold plating lasted. Get the Taiwan made ones.

I had already gotten Belden speaker cables and the electrical cable from LHS before I saw this.

One question about banana plugs... what benefits do they give besides the convenience when plugging?
I was going to go plugless.

Banana plug has few prices ranging from $1 up to $15 per piece or even higher.
Have you ever seen corroded banana plug? what will you think if it is connected to your setup?
Best is a direct plug but there is a risk of being shorted to the case, therefore, I use a good banana plug at AVR side then plug directly at speaker side.

(BTW, I also don't like to use a condom, direct 'plug' in is always best, direct contact, hehehehehe... ;D )

Spades are the best as it allow for the maximum area of contact.  The screws enable high pressure to be applied, compressing and eliminating uneven surface contact, pushing the mating surfaces to bite into each other.

Banana is perhaps the worst  because it only allows point contact and rely on spring pressure.   Even the WBT expanding banana jack will still lose out to the spade.

gold plated banana plugs offer to tweak the sound signature to being warmer
platinum plated ones offer improved dynamics.
rhodium ones with speed and better decay.
Silver one better details
the quality of the material use on the banana plug itself is also crucial to how your system will sound.
cheap brass vs pure copper vs pure silver. there IS that obvious difference.

I like the idea of direct too and I have always used direct to both ends and never had an issue.
Are you able to elaborate more on the shorting?
How and why does that happen?

Ahhh... I never had an issue with wire tarnish even when I was living opposite the sea and practically every metal part grew those green oxidation stuff but copper wires were good.

In my new place, I anticipate I would be turning on the air con quite frequently so this will keep humidity down and reduce the likelihood of tarnish.
I guess no issues running bare then.
