Disney movies always need to bump up the volume a little...these days, PQ of Disney can rival Sony Pictures (which usually is the best when it comes to 4K titles).

Disney’s video is TOP notch, reference stuff. Even my kids were telling me, it looks so real, lifelike...both my 5 & 7 year old telling me this... it’s that good the lion king video quality

I compared two version, 1080p and the HDR version, both kids prefer the 1080p on the lion king (still gotta work on the HDR)

Music is also fantastic on this one, very good animation

Worth it ! Right up there for animation of the year along with abominable

Just finished watching Spiderman Into the Spider-verse in 4K HDR with Atmos sound mix. I have to say that the Dolby Atmos track is a "killer"! It showcased the best of Dolby Atmos...It will put a smile on your face :)

Academy award winner for best animated feature 2018! Spider-Man into the spiderverse, all of us love this !

No 1 TOP pick for UHD at AV Nirvana as well

Somewhat of a slow burner, Ad Astra is another demo worthy material for engaging surrounds and various moments of impactful bass. Watch out for the 1st act and the lunar surface pursuit scene.

This is a movie best watched in the day. Don’t watch it at night when you are about to sleep as it is a “sleeping inducing” movie. I can’t recall how many times I have dozed off. I need to rewatch it again. LoL.

One of my favorite war action movie when it comes to visuals and actions especially audio. Watching it in 4K with HDR is amazing — certainly worth more than $9.99 from Amazon Black Friday Sales!

The modern warfare(with impressive sound edits) collection should include:
1. BHD
2. Lone Survivor
3. 13 hours
4. American Sniper

So far, these are the must-have 4K/Bluray titles for the 2019 (so far)...In no order of merit.

- Avengers Endgame
- Spiderman - Into the Spider verse
- Brightburn
- Godzilla King of the Monsters
- Alita Battle Angel

 ;)

Thanks for the heads up on spider verse! My Amazon disc came and just had time to catch the first 1hr.

The sound is amazing. Esp with the music and all. Super reference. And the low bass is so layered and detailed. Wow....

It's gonna be one of my reference disc.

Any particular scenes I should take note of that is demo worthy?

I didn’t have time to watch all the Star Wars movies on DisneyPlus but thought I’d try Star Wars A New Hope - the opening scene employed incredible use of Atmos. Surprised how well it was done. During the  corvette chase you could feel the Star Destroyer overhead. Ditto when the action switches to the internal of the vessel and you can hear the docking clamps overhead.
End of Line - Derezzed

It seems streaming Atmos with a reasonable bitrate is possible now. This is always a good thing and it further proven that the future is streaming over physical media.

I love the part ”Shoulder Touch” with Kingpin. Somewhere towards the end.

The opening scene of Rogue One (DisneyPlus) also employs really good use of Atmos. When young Jyn is running home and the Imperial vessel flies overhead.

More and more movie are making great use of Atmos channels. These are subtle but appreciable. A big change from my first Atmos movie (John Wick - where it was almost a blanket overhead channel). Most obvious and OTT  might be the drone attack on Angel has Fallen.

Check out terminator dark fate in Atmos.

one of the better releases.

Especially the hummer under the water.

Possibly one for the list for bass movies for 2020.
