Actually everybody knows that SeeToh's Glutton by the Bay is not a social enterprise and he has never claimed that it was. It would be like saying that Marche is a social enterprise food establishment. It is only SMRT Feedback that is labeling SeeToh's food atas hawker centre as one in order to support their masters and got flamed by everybody in the process. But that's how PAP IBs or ones that are masquerading as Gahmen critics like to argue online anyway.  ::)

Honestly we should go back to the original intent of hawker centers. An officially sanctioned place for people to earn a living selling food. Reasonable rent, clean, hawker flexibility, direct NEA management.

All these new schemes, on the surface, seems to be money making schemes for cronies.

Those poor people are getting a hard time to follow 500 pages long 賣身契. We can all help by boycotting it.
Change or boycott.

Seetoh must be very unpopular now. the new 賣身契 will add “thou shall not divulge the content of the contracts. That is strictly forbidden”.
I am very sure that clause will be add to the 賣身契. Not sure how it can be enforced.

A typical tenancy agreement is about 5-7 pages, and many find it a hard comprehending. At more than 50 pages of terms and agreement, with legal implications, and the other party are people who prepares food for a living, my guess, many would be too intimidated and would sign without totally understanding.

Social Enterprise Hawker Centres, who are the other party to the hawkers?

Are they landlords or operators ? Any idea ?
