Hi,

I have a question about the audio settings. Before the s/w update, it output to my receiver which I can set to Dolby Atmos + Neural. After the update, I noticed that only Dolby Atmos and stereo options are displayed and it does not output to my atmos speakers anymore. I checked the settings on my xbox audio out is already set to Atmos.

Also, with the new update, it is supposed to do HDR10 and Dolby vision to my LG C7 oled but it is not doing so. Again the settings has been adjusted based on recommended and TV also set accordingly. Is there any steps that I might have missed?

Thank you

Mike

For me, if I use the Xbox to watch Netflix or Youtube, AVR always show DV and Atmos even though the source is not.

Kaoz.. my luck.. my Xbox One X couldn't power up after 2 days of usage. Apparently it is a known issue with the power supply. Gonna send it back to Qisahn for an exchange.

Yes. This is indeed true and I was told that the fault lies with Netflix app, NOT the Xbox.

I do not think it has anything to do with the Netflix app on xbox. My Marantz AVR shows Atmos regardless of the app I am using on the xbox1x and also if I am not using any app at all. I read somewhere that 1) this is how Microsoft has implemented Atmos on xbox and 2) it is not a "fault" and that the xbox is outputting the appropriate signal from the source.

That's right. If the source supports Atmos, the audio will be more immersive compare to non Atmos source. However, my Denon still displays Atmos.

Yes...agreed too. Either way, Microsoft or Netflix have to fix this annoying problem. I'm fine with Dolby Atmos being used as the primary output (assume we activate the Dolby Atmos for HT option under Audio when we do the bitstream)...but either one of them have to fix the HDR "bug" in the Netflix app...SDR content converted to HDR by brute force is really bad. I have no choice but to deactivate the HDR under the Video setting.

i don't really know how to play with "Kodi"....
sorry....
my "UBox 4" goes into the xbox one s hdmi input to output into the onkyo avr...
so its really the media center. the brains if u wanna call it that.
Hmmm... I tried plugging a HDMI from another BluRay player to a newly bought S at my colleague place... It keeps showing some kind of error... Could it be the what HDCP protection going on, or does the system needs a update on the firmware to be compatible to another device?
