Netflix in Europe did reduce their bandwidth. Don’t know if DisneyPlus did the same.

All I know is - A New Hope on UHD Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is only available on DisneyPlus so... MTL

I hope this will not happen in Asia...else quality will suffer if bandwidth kena throttle.

Sorry, off topic, but now that the Star Wars franchise is no longer under the iron grip of George Lucas, will Disney ever commission an official de-specialised version of Episode 4?

Yeah..I'm one of them. Hopefully it won't affect the UHD screen subscriber base.

Disney was just as bad at one point. Releasing classic cartoons only for a limited time.

The Pioneer 500 is available in SG, it's just that the price... Can you stomach a price tag that can get you a Aussie Market UB820 + Sony UBP800(that plays SACD as well) or not.
Local Pioneer is Region locked to A for FHDBD, not much mention from users whether it can play DVDs from other regions.

If one is adventurous, straight order from UK gets multi-region hacked players by Sony and Pioneer. Panasonic no, Region Locked.

How about Sony X1100 compared to Pioneer LX500?

is there any Sony high-end owners can give their 2cts on the Sony players?
Errr... I hv not much experience with Sony players except their entry level ones. Simple connection, simple presentation.
To battle with x1100, on price and class, the only contender from Panasonic should be the UB9k, while from Pioneer should be the LX500. On paper, both latter wins Sony on build quality and construction. When it comes to video quality, i couldn't remember who(is it Doggie or Desray?), user give thumbs up on Panasonic video output quality when paired with projection setup. Audio wise, Pioneer seems to take the trophy. There wasn't much mention on Sony's performance even from American, European side... except probably on discs bug compatibility and format playabilities.
