Finally caved.

Got the iPhone XS Max 512GB from Telstra. The 64GB X was running out of space every day. Deleting the tonnes of crap from my WhatsApp chats wasn’t enough.

It was on the unlimited plan so unlimited data and local and international calls which seems pretty cheap for $199 a month. For bundling my ADSL homeplan they even threw in an iPad 9.7” (Q1 2018 model) 32GB with 10GB data a month.

I think demand for the new models mustn’t be too high. Been in stock for a long time.

Better Face ID? Oh yes pleasssssse!

"There also appears to be a significant update to Face ID on the way. Bloomberg describes the new sensor hardware as ‘multi angle’:

The phones will include a new multi-angle Face ID sensor that captures a wider field of view so that users can unlock the handsets more easily – even when the devices are flat on a table...

Huh, OMG, that's "silly" of you to think that way? How many times do I need to repeat and explain myself...I'm not an Apple fan...I'm brand-agnostic. I'm using both Android and iOS at the same time with ease...Using an Apple device DOES NOT automatically makes you an Apple fanoboi (or obsessed one at that)...using it simply because of an App that works better on iOS than Android (for stability) and it is for work use.

This is not an"either-or" thing when it comes to choice of using a smart phones these days...I can't believe how "narrow-thinking" you are when it comes to this?  ???

How so? Describe the exact problem that you face...like the App open and then close or .....???? I don't experience that on my iPhone X Max on iOS 12.4.

It's odd. My 7 plus doesn't have the issue.
I press on the app, the notepad app, it opens then closes immediately. But I have to still swipe it to shut the app when I'm closing other apps. Just that it crashes...
Google?
I've seen some people suggest deleting it and re-installing... but that may mean losing the notes / reviews I've typed... and I'm a PC idiot, that's why I'm on a Mac..

Yes, my next suggestion is to delete the app and re-install it. Ensure that you have enabled the iCloud for backup first to save the notes before you delete the app. I can't think of any better suggestion/solution to this issue since it cannot be replicated. Imo, something just screwed up during the iOS OTA update. Usually deletion and re-installation of the app will solve it.

I'm going to make this terse...my humble advice to you is, if you have nothing constructive to offer...then I suggest you keep those snide remarks to yourself...it'll only make people annoyed at you.
