Yeah. It's bad.  A grown-up with superpowers behaving like a kid.

Outrageous. I say! Doomed to fail.  ;D

I jest of cos.

Frankly, I wasn't sure what to make of Zachary Levi casting as Shazam! But after seeing the teaser, I think he got it spot-on.

Shazam has always meant to be a character that is more light-hearted, less stoic and less serious. He may look like an adult but inside he is still young Billy Batson. So of cos, his reaction to getting all these superpowers is going to be child-like.

Is that really so bad given that how there is this endless stream of complaints about how 'dark' some of the DCEU movies are? So WB/DC decided to make a light-hearted superhero movie and people are still complaining?

Remember all the complaints about Burton's Batman from being too dark and violent? It slowing turned the first Batman movie franchise into a joke that was nipple armour and Geroge Cloney. History repeated itself when all the complaints about MoS and BvS give us Whedon's Justice League.

Looks like a light-hearted DCU movie for a change...but my image of Shazam from comics more "manly"...

The trailer looks to be following the origins cartoon quite closely... but I do agree Zachary's going to over do his comedy routine... And is that a fake muscle suit? Couldn’t they get someone with real muscles to better help suspend disbelieve? ;D

I think Shazam is going to be a hit for DCEU.

It's been reported that Shazam runtime is 132 mins.

After the bonehead decision to severely buttered Justice League's runtime to a 'mere' 120 mins, WB may have finally wised up that some films just need a longer runtime for the story to play itself out.

Aquaman was 143 mins and it did not really feel too draggy. 132mins for Shazam! sounds about right.
