This 4K DLP projector by JVC did not perform very well in terms of the P3 colorspace. Anything below 75% is considered poor...it barely hit the 75% ballpark figure which in my opinion is considered a pass for user to experience good HDR content. I don't think it support DV, so it is not an issue...this projector strength focused primarily on the normal HDR and broadcasting HDR standards (HLG)...which makes it suitable for watching netflix etc...for critical viewing of 4K UHD bluray titles, this is NOT suitable.

Finally decided to jump into this 4k e-shift projector (my 3rd DLP, after 9 years with Sharp FHD)

This is the where the projector is seated... at around 1.9m above ground in my master bedroom

Following image was taken with 2k source

and with 4k source

The  HDR was set to ON with Aperture Turn-OFF.
The color and picture look quite impressive, although the black cannot match JVC, Sony and etc, but this is nom for DLP

Thanks Peng for delivery at late nite and the advise on the minor issue on the installation, as this is my 1st long throw projector which require almost max zoom.

I bought one too during the recent trade in offer from Peng.  I am really a 2 channel guy so can't comment too much on the pic quality.  But coming from a Sony HW40ES,  the improvements is astonishing.  Especially for black levels....  This is my 1st JVC after 2 Sonys, and I guess I understand now what videophiles is talking about when they mentioned JVC blacks.  I am only watching musicals and operas for now on my Oppo 95,  but is curious to see how a 4K bluray player and UHD bluray disc performed on this unit.  I have wanted to wait for a native 4K Sony player to be "more affordable", but decided to jump in after the trade in offer from Peng.  Hopefully, it will stay there until the next 8K projector in 5 years time?   :)

Thanks for all your support , remember to send in the warranty card.
When you are ready, can always trade-in to the new N series true 4k.

Did you call my dealer in JB to help on your screen issue ?
We are not second hand dealer , all items we sell as used are tradedin from our customer and we don't rate it condition but for the buyer to decide on it own.
From time to time we may sell off some New but open up used for rental/standby/loan items and to ensure they cant be sold as Brand new , we will dispose off the box.
