Those on scene also alleged that the fire was started by a charging Personal Mobility Device (PMD) along the corridor, although this is unconfirmed.
The family and neighbours were lucky to be alive.

I am so sorry that people like these are running public institutions. People have been killed and hurt while they chose to talk.

I cannot believe that it took so long for them to realize the adoption of UL2272 standard (only in September last year) to improve fire safety.

What about mobile and notebook batteries, which are also potential fire risk. Are they going to ensure these devices have to be listed? Many people use unlisted devices and charged them unattended besides combustibles e.g on office desks, besides bed, on top of their expensive HT/hifi etc. I always ensure mine are all UL listed, many years ago.

the trouble caused by e scooter riders is growing by the day.
And new regulations & guidelines are put up, just so to accommodate

Why accommodate these when they cause so much problems ?

What are the reasons?

The real reason...
