Can't find any Chrome boxes or laptops in Hong Kong too....what a disappointment.
Couldn't go to Shenzhen as it has been raining since morning...what a downer!

I am currently using the Pixelbook for the past 2 mths and I am happy to report that it is very well built and the performance is really great. I am running Linux OS and opening 20 - 30 tabs running in the background w/o any need to reload each page. The RAM management is very good for the Chrome OS.

One of the coolest thing is the seamless takeover from Wifi connection over to my Pixel XL phone hotspot instantaneously w/o the need for my to activate my hotspot each time I am outside. Of course, I can also lock/unlock the Pixelbook using the Pixel XL (proprietary to Pixel phone only).

Pixelbook is no doubt the best but it's expensive for my kind of usage! :P  Guess I have to get one from the States! :)

Yep...its cheaper to get from States. The price going down recently.

Rumour has it Atlas and Nortunal (codenames for Chromebooks) coming this Oct and likely manufactured by Google itself.

Another reason to get Chromebooks...

https://www.windowscentral.com/google-may-soon-let-you-run-windows-10-chromebooks-using-campfire

With its ability to switch between 3 OS - i.e. Chrome OS, Linux and soon Windows 10...

Google is pushing for the "Better Together" integration project where apps from their android phones can also play nice with Chromebooks via the PWA bridge. We already saw Google Play Store integration last year, the more recent one being the integration of google chrome browser notification integrating with the native Windows 10 notification feature...I seems like Google is embarking on "integration" with their devices but also with popular OS like Microsoft Windows and possibly Apple's as well.

If Chromebooks are able to run Windows OS, Linux OS and possibly (but highly unlikely) Mac OS (lite version), then consumers will start to take a second look at Chrome OS.
