Yep, you can only do it via USB for now.
It took about 12 min or so.. interesting new interface... seems faster...

Something interesting for those who wish to calibrate their Z9Ds:
- each input keeps settings for either HDR or SDR, but not both. The settings for Dolby Vision can be added on top of the settings.
- if you have HDR and SDR settings, choose input 2 and 3 and keep the setting seperate..
I'll post more soon... just did a marathon 7 hour calibration with a pro, someone who worked in Hollywood before... very pro but man it was tiring..

Question for Z9D owners

I'm having some trouble getting my settings to stick..

The TV is supposed to allow different settings on the same input for SDR, HDR and DV, but I can't get that to happen.

Eg, on HDMI 3, if I input settings for SDR, then put in a HDR disc, there should be settings I can input for HDR, and when I go back to SDR, the settings should change accordly, but it doesn't happen?
I've tried "Custom", "Cinema Home" and "Cinema Pro" and it won't stick!

But I thought you figured it out already?! See your earlier post... ???

I see peeps in AVS who say they can do it without using both inputs..

Not sure how TV settings works. But for projector, we have separate picture mode (if want to use custom input for calibrated modes) for both SDR and HDR content. The metadata from the media or the disc content will invoke the appropriate settings to use. E.g. playback of 4K UHD disc content will automatically switch to HDR mode and likewise for SDR content.
