True
Which is why I don't mind if I get the Sony, at least it has decent blacks and is well made with a good processor...

Wow...
Good price, IIRC, bro Francis also posted a 84" set not too long ago for around the same price...

Peter, i got the 65inch Z9D last year and really like it, started wondering if I should have stretched for the 75inch instead.  ;D

Do consider your room and viewing conditions as well. You'll get the best out of OLED if you have good light control and willing to watch in a darker environment most of the time. Z9D is really bright, so even with some ambient light, the HDR effects and specular highlights are terrific and really punchy.

Agree that at current pricing, the Z9D is good value for the spec, it can pretty much do it all has great motion handling and probably still the best TV in terms of HDR performance. The only ding against it is it's half-baked DolbyVision implementation and the APAC version firmware still hasn't been updated to support DV.

Bro the 75" Z9D should be within your budget. I am also looking for 75 incher one coming in the later part of the year.

The Sony Z9D PQ stand well against the 2017 OLED. The 2017 OLED look good but not impressive enough for me to fork out the extra k to go for the 75 inch.

Maybe the 2018 model maybe more impressive. :)

Personally, I will go for the biggest LED/LCD for my living room and save some money for other tech stuff! ;D

Thanks bro, maybe I can ask you for a viewing session..
Any issues with the soap opera effect or motion?

When I was about to buy my OLED 65, I told myself, I should do what I preach.  So that day I went down to Taka Best Denki ask for it ......only to realise that I need to cough up an extra $30K to get that extra 10+ inches for the screen....

Ok, I would just settle for $6K ...LG OLED 65....

you won't go wrong with the 75" Z9D, it's not just a FALD TV, it's a 800-zone FALD TV, with peak brightess of almost 1,900 nits.

Thanks, and it's around half the price of the 2017 OLED 77"panels.. that's the main issue..

A quick check with my friend at one of the big retailer confirm that the 75inch Z9D is definitely below 10K. I have to say when I saw the 65inch on display, it does look very good!

it's more than just that, for a 2016 model it's even a whole lot more over-engineered than Sony's top "regular" LED 2018 model, the X90F.  the 55" X90F has only 48 FALD zones (equivalent of about 90 zones in 75" size, assuming each zone remains the same size), and is "only" capable of around 1,100 nits peak brightness.

every time I'm in HN Millenia or BD Taka, I'll go gawk at the 100" display set.

Sharing a lobang here. If anyone here is looking for a 75inch Samsung QLED 7 series, my friend has one set going for less than 6K.
